Typography for the Web
Published on by Josh Nichols | Posts by This Author
A lot has changed with web typography. We are no longer forced to use a handful of “web safe” fonts or complicated image replacement tricks in order to set beautiful type. This presentation goes over how to learn about type, how properly markup type and how to style it.
This was presented at the July 24, 2012 Web Developers Group Meeting.

Although there are more options now when using fonts in web design it is still rather limited. Considering other advancements I’d have thought there would be more fonts available to use safely with various browsers, but the fact is that some available fonts even now can not be shown with many older version browsers and just display as plain text.
